Teaching the Next Generation!

Beautiful Sunday Summer Day.

This was the start of the summer vacation for the Beane Girls!  They are our 2 beautiful granddaughters.  They like the big boat somewhat, but they really like the 10 ft inflatable!  Go figure!

When they are 13 years old and have taken a Power Safety course, they can take the inflatable out by themselves! So Papa and Makayla will be taking the course next spring because guess what!  Makayla turns 13 next January!  So the countdown begins!

Papa took each one of them out by themselves to learn the nuances of the motor, steering, waves, speed, etc.  There were happy faces all around!

Even Momma got to get a ride!

From the club we went to raft up with others from the club and did more exploring and practice for the girls in the "No Shoes"

Adventures of the " No Shoes"

I hope I can remember how to do this blog thing!  :)

We have purchased a 10 foot, hard bottom inflatable boat with a 9 hp motor. The grand girls named her the No Shoes.   Monday June 17, 2019 was the maiden voyage for this year,
We packed up a few thing and we were off!  Sunscreen, hats, drinking water, camera!

We decided to explore the Back River in Weymouth.  What a beautiful site!  The water was calm and the air was warm but a little overcast.  Great weather to explore.

This is the view of the entrance to the Back River.

Momma Osprey made sure to warn us that we were too close!  She started yelling at us  :)

This was a sanctuary for White Heron!  Absolutely beautiful!

I did see a Blue Heron but not really a good picture.

Then towards the end of our excursion, a coyote!  We watched him prance around, watching for game and watching us.  Incredible!  He was a big boy too!

Not sure where we will go next but I sure it will be an excellent adventure!  TTFN

Blizzard Marcus!

For some unknown reason, I quickly thought of Ma just now. I actually had my hand on the phone   :)  She never shoveled, ever!  But there was always a path to her door.   Dad or Stephen always made the way.  I remember Dad saying that he really didn't mind shoveling, he found it very peaceful.  What would he be saying now!  :)
If Katie has work tomorrow, then Papa and I will take the truck and get the girls!  I can't wait.  we will fill the bird feeders, use the snow shoes, visit Valentine  (the horse up the street) and bake something.  I really love snow days with my grand girls!!  Maybe pics to follow soon

The Contuning Adventures of the Irish Ayes

Two weeks ago we were in Provincetown for 4 days and it was marvelous We had a great view, the weather was perfect and we saw a whale show that was the greatest that I have ever seen.
This weekend we are in Newport RI. We listened to the Jazz at Fort Adams and then went to the slip. This morning when I woke up, the Princess Cruise Line was anchored and they had shuttle boats filled with passengers going into town.
