Big Fish

Last Sunday, Gene and some friends went fishing somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, ( I can not mention the specific location because I have been sworn to secrecy) Anyway, low and behold, a Tuna, about 200 lbs and about 5 feet long. It took about 1 1/2 hours of fighting the fish before they landed it!

They filleted it in the driveway and was a neighborhood attraction!

The Great Adventures of the Irish Ayes

The great adventures of the Irish Ayes. The weekend of the Fourth of July found us in the great harbour of Boston. We stayed at the Boston Yacht Haven with an awesome view! We were able to watch the USS Constitution on its anual turn around. After a night of friends and fireworks, we walked aroung Boston itself. We encountered some British soldiers in full uniform. These soldiers were gathering just around the corner from the state house.

August Already

Well, it's not to say that I have been a little busy! I really must try to keep up with this blog. Last year I showed flowers and even my shoes! This summer, nothing! Well let me begin.

Now that I have access to Katie's computer, which is very fast, I will try to keep up. Did I mention that the computer is in my study, where, I might add, I can close the door and it becomes a very quiet place! :)

The girls are getting very big and Erin is walking all over the place. She also tries to climb the stairs. Hmmm back to gates!

Almost Spring!!!

Tommy has already seen a robin, my juniors are about to their CNA Exam, Andrew is one year old today!!! yay! and Gene is chomping at the bit to go fishing!!

Well, Katie and the girls have been sick, :( chest congestion, fever.... croup... I was sick, then Makayla, then Erin, then Katie and finally Gene. It went right through the house. All through this however, Erin was ever smiling!!

The bathroom is coming along. The tub was set last night! I am still hoping that the plumbing inspector will come today to inspect the gas fireplace and check the bathroom pipes at the same time. We have a pedestal sink that Jonathan got at work, it was a display and is just beautiful!!
Gene and I bought a medicine cabinet and decided on wainscotings on the walls that do not surround the tub. The tiles are going to be just plain white, that way it goes with any color. Haven't decided on a floor yet, but I think we have plenty of time!
