For some unknown reason, I quickly thought of Ma just now. I actually had my hand on the phone :) She never shoveled, ever! But there was always a path to her door. Dad or Stephen always made the way. I remember Dad saying that he really didn't mind shoveling, he found it very peaceful. What would he be saying now! :)
If Katie has work tomorrow, then Papa and I will take the truck and get the girls! I can't wait. we will fill the bird feeders, use the snow shoes, visit Valentine (the horse up the street) and bake something. I really love snow days with my grand girls!! Maybe pics to follow soon

The Contuning Adventures of the Irish Ayes
Two weeks ago we were in Provincetown for 4 days and it was marvelous We had a great view, the weather was perfect and we saw a whale show that was the greatest that I have ever seen.
This weekend we are in Newport RI. We listened to the Jazz at Fort Adams and then went to the slip. This morning when I woke up, the Princess Cruise Line was anchored and they had shuttle boats filled with passengers going into town.

Dog Days of Summer
Once upon a time…. I thought that the “Dog Days” of Summer were supposed to be in August! It was supposed to be very hot and make us really want for the coolness of the Autumn. Well it is just the beginning of July and it is hot!!! 90’s. The pool has never been this warm in July, ever.
Am I complaining? Noooooo!
This is the type of weather that I really love. In the pool, cold drink in hand and a good book. Such a life! :)

Happy Mother's Day
In spite of everything, I had a wonderful Mother's Day. First I delivered a dozen white roses to the grave and then came home to Jon and Katie cleaning the house for me. They also did the shopping and cooking. Well done!
Tom came home and shortly after that, my two granddaughters! We had friends, family, and cousins all day.
My children also bought me a beautiful gold slide for my necklace. It is in the shape of two hearts intertwined with everyone's birthstones on it. Even the girls! I cried! :)
Thank you kids! I love you all
