Learning to live again
It has been 8 month since I said goodbye to my friend, and husband, Gene.
For almost 30 years we smiled, we fought, we cried: together. We shared
dreams, traveled the states, and reveled in the beauty of this country.
I am thankful for the experience of seeing the impact of the immigrants
that came to our country ! The Irish of the north, the Spanish on the
south, the French/Candians. They have left an influence of the food,
religion, and strength of their culture here. We traveled
throughout the south. We ate Cajun food, Mexican food, and french food.
Although they were very different, they brought their little piece of
home.
I still want to travel and explore. last summer I went into Boston.
First to Haymarket then to the waterfront, Fanuil Hall, and some
of the Emerald walkway. Went to see the Moonwalkers with Katie, explored the Ferry to Boston and back with Erin. Just learning to live again but without Gene
